Hello Loves!!
I
am excited to show you this project I've been working on for the last
two weeks. In preparation for the upcoming Indie Shop on November 5th in
Torrance California, I've interviewed all the vendors that will be
there. From today until the event, I will be posting an interview a day
so that you can get to know each and every one of the faces behind the
brands.
Now.... TO THE INTERVIEW!!!
Today I present to you Polish 'M!
What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Michelle Neasbitt and I'm from Bakersfield, California.
When did you start Polish 'M?
I started in August of 2012 as Laquerlicious. I re-branded in January of 2015 to Polish 'M.
What is meaning behind Polish 'M and how did you come up with your brand name?
The 'M is a play off of polish 'them' nails (polish 'em) then shortened to 'M, which is the initial of my first name.
What do you love about what you do?
By nature, I'm pretty free spirited. I was born into a
self employed family of many generations. I am not one for the 8-5
corporate world. I love that I can make polish on my own time and not
forced to do it
between certain hours or days. I have deadlines, sure. But I give
myself those deadline, not someone giving them to me.
I'm most inspired by the changing seasons. I love to
create color combos that in my mind, are reminiscent of what's going on
outside. I also of course, love shimmer, flakies and glitter! I'm not a
fan of any trending movies or certain sitcoms.
A lot of my inspiration comes from inside my head lol.
What are some of your hobbies or favorite pastimes?
I honesty don't have any hobbies. As a lot of people that
are familiar with me and my brand know, I am involved with
volunteering/fostering for a few different dog rescues. I have 2 other
businesses
(besides polish) and any extra time I have goes to the dogs that need
my help.
Will
this be your first event like Indie Shop and if not what do you like
about doing events like this?
This will be my 2nd Indie Shop. I love that a group of people
with such different lives can all come together for one mutual interest -
Polish! I love to
see and meet the faces behind the brands!
What will you be bringing to Indie Shop and will you be offering an event exclusive for attendees?
I will be doing an LE this year, not an exclusive. I will
also be launching my Christmas collection! A rainbow of 10 super
glittery polishes. So festive
for the holidays and year round, really!
Is there anything else that you would like people to know about you or Polish 'M?
With
the flooded market of indie polish, I have considered closing many times. I
just want to thank anyone and everyone who has supported my brand over the years. Obviously, I can't do what I do without them.
