Hello Loves!!
I
am excited to show you this project I've been working on for the last
two weeks. In preparation for the upcoming Indie Shop on November 5th in
Torrance California, I've interviewed all the vendors that will be
there. From today until the event, I will be posting an interview a day
so that you can get to know each and every one of the faces behind the
brands.
Now.... TO THE INTERVIEW!!!
Today I present to you Girly Bits!
What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Pam Heil, and I'm from Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. We just happen to be the Southernmost mainland town in Canada, and we are jsut south-east of Detroit Michigan.
When did you start Girly Bits?
My official brand launch was September 27th 2011.
What is meaning behind Girly Bits and how did you come up with your brand name?
Before I began selling polish, I was blogging about polish. I had two
main passions at the time- cooking, and nail polish and makeup. Ok, three
things I guess. My blog focused on nail polish, but I wanted to leave
it open to cover all kinds of girly things,
so one day it hit me that the blog should be called Girly Bits. Little
bits of girly things. It struck me funny, so it stayed. Then when I
began seriously looking into turning my polish making hobby into a
business, the name was a natural transition since
I had a fair number of followers on the blog.
What do you love about what you do?
I love the creative freedom, and the art of expression. I love the
opportunities I have had to get to know people that I would have not
otherwise been blessed to know, and it's made the world a much smaller,
but more colorful, place. I have learned a lot about
people in general, but even more so, I have learned a lot about myself.
What are some of your hobbies or favorite pastimes?
Hobbies? Who has time for hobbies? Two of my favorite pastimes are
eating and sleeping. One of which I do too much of, and one far too
little of. I do love performing in live theater though. I have done that
for the better part of the last 20 years. Unfortunately
the hours I now keep don't allow me to do theater anymore but I will
definitely pick it up again one day. I enjoy cooking, and reading, and
dancing, and just about all kinds of music. I am also a research-aholic
and love challenging myself to the limit.
Will
this be your first event like Indie Shop and if not what do you like
about doing events like this?
I have participated in several vending events, and my favorite part is
absolutely meeting people, and traveling to new places, with shopping
for polish being a close second.
What will you be bringing to Indie Shop and will you be offering an event exclusive for attendees?
I plan on bringing the two most recent collections (What Really Happened
in Vegas, and A Little Madness) plus the best sellers from the Hocus
Pocus collection, the Holiday Magic collection, and our all time top
sellers. I will also have a 'soft launch' (meaning
before it's available on line) of a brand new collection, as well
as stamping polishes, my exclusive stamping plate, and nail care items.
I will be offering one exclusive and two Limited Editions.
Is there anything else that you would like people to know about you or Girly Bits?
Just that I am eternally grateful for this chapter of my life, and I am excited about some new things being implemented in 2017.
Thank you so much Pam for taking the time to do this with me. I am excited for Indie Shop and I can't wait to stop by to say hi and shop.
There you have it! I hope you guys enjoyed learning a little more about Girly Bits. Make sure to "Like" their Facebook page, "Join" their Facebook group and "Follow" them on Instagram for up to date information about things to come.
Don't forget that Indie Shop is November 5th at 10am in Torrance California. There are still tickets available so make sure you get yours before they sell out.
Stop by and say hi to Pam while you're shopping at Indie Shop. I'll be there too so find me and say hello, I would love to meet all of you!
Let me know what you think about this project and stay tuned for tomorrows interview.
