Spring Indie Shop is right around the corner! Only 12 days left!! Let the countdown begin.
In
preparation for the upcoming Indie Shop on May 13th in
Torrance California, I've interviewed all the vendors that will be
there. I will be posting interviews so that
you can get to know each and every one of the faces behind the
brands.
Now.... TO THE INTERVIEW!!!
Today I present to you Stached Polish!
What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Holly Nunes and I live in Huntington Beach, California.
When did you start Stached Polish?
I
started Stached Polish in March 2015.
What is meaning behind Stached Polish and how did you come up with your brand name?
I would always see girls going on about their "stash" and hiding their
"stash" from their husbands or SOs, and my husband is a very bearded
man. It just clicked one day after teasing my husband about his stach,
and then seeing someone saying they were "stashing their stash" from
their husband. After months of going through different names that I
could call my brand, I was thrilled to call myself Stached Polish!
What do you love about what you do?
Oh my gosh I love everything about it: I love being able to be
creative! I also love seeing how people use Stached Polish in their
manicures, whether it's as the base or in nail art! Giving myself a
manicure and working on nail art is such a nice way to relax, so I like
thinking I'm able to give my customers a great way to relax and enjoy
themselves as well!
What are your favorite finishes or colors to work with?
I love cremes. No matter how many colors and finishes I put out, cremes are my absolute favorite.
Will
this be your first event like Indie Shop and if not what do you like
about doing events like this?
This will be my fourth Indie Shop, so I kind of know the ropes now. I
have my first event outside of The Indie Shop a month after, so I'm very
curious to see how it will go!
How long does it take to prepare for events like Indie Shop?
As a smaller brand, I typically start preparing months in advance. As I
try to bring as much stock with me as possible, I start setting aside
bottles and pre-bottling specific colors for this event! I also work
full time, so I have to prepare at night and on the weekends, while
giving myself enough sleep to get through the next work day, so it ends
up being a shorter time slot.
The event theme is Candy Shop, what's your favorite candy? Will you have any candy themed products?
I have to admit, candy isn't my favorite thing! I'm a chocolate lover
at heart! (dark chocolate to be specific!) I will be doing a
candy-themed duo with Melody of Envy Lacquer, and my event exclusive
will also be candy themed!
What will you be bringing to Indie Shop and will you be offering an event exclusive for attendees?
I will be bringing my brand new Ombre cremes collection! At TIS I will be debuting the 2nd half of the
ombre cremes! I will also have my Beauty and the Beast inspired
"Enchanted" collection along with some other colors I've whipped up and a
few surprises that I haven't announced yet!
Is there anything else that you would like people to know about you or Stached Polish?
I have a Facebook group called Stachionistas which is a lot of fun to run! I have discount codes and we like to have
fun! I'm a complete and total open book, so I love being able to
interact with a lot of my customers in my group. We also have a mani of
the month challenge which I've been doing since December! My admin and
I choose a color of mine and a theme and let anyone post as many
(current) manicures as possible! We love to encourage everyone to
participate, no matter skill level! At the end of the month my admin
draws a winner at random, and they get a OOAK polish or an exclusive!
I would love to invite anyone to join in, even if you're just lurking!
