Indie Shop Spring 2017 Interviews - Envy Lacquer

Hello Loves!!
There is only 2 days left until the event!
We're down to the last interview!
In preparation for the upcoming Indie Shop this Saturday, May 13th in Torrance California, I interviewed all the vendors that will be there. These interviews were a chance for you to get to know each and every one of the faces behind the brands.
The Indie Shop would not be possible without all these amazing vendors I've interviewed and it also wouldn't be possible without the hard work and dedication from the amazing lady in charge.
WITHOUT FURTHER ADO.....

I present to you Envy Lacquer!

What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Melody Mandegar and I'm from Woodland Hills, California.

When did you start Envy Lacquer?
I started the idea of in December of 2014 and opened up my store two years ago on April 24th.

What is meaning behind Envy Lacquer and how did you come up with your brand name?
I came up with my brand name after my original name backfired. I wanted to call my line Everlasting Lacquer which is a translation of my last name in English. Problem was everyone thought I was selling gel polish. Something about the name made them think that so I tried to find a name that was short, sexy and sweet.

What do you love about what you do?
I love discovering new things. Whether it's new finishes or techniques, I get excited to see how I can change it again and again to make it new!

What are your favorite finishes or colors to work with?
My favorite is making holographic polishes that aren't plain. I try and add at least 2 or 3 more elements to it. Whether it's shimmer or flakies.
What do you like about doing events like this?
It's so hard to say what my favorite part of the event is. I think if I could sum it all up I love that I can bring people together. Especially people I never thought I would ever meet in my lifetime.

How long does it take to prepare for events like Indie Shop?
For me? As soon as the previous one ends! I've been non stop since the Atlanta show!

The event theme is Candy Shop, what's your favorite candy? Will you  have any candy themed products?
There's a tie between sour belts and milk chocolate. And yes I have a lot of candy themed products!

What will you be bringing to Indie Shop and will you be offering an event exclusive for attendees?
I will have my galaxy collection, enchanted faries collection and all of the new products. Candy cremes, candy coatings trio and all the new bath goodies!

Thank you so much Melody for taking the time to do this with me and for all the hard work you put into making this event a reality. I am excited to see you and I can't wait to see all your pretties in person.
