Spring Indie Shop is right around the corner! Only 5 days left!!
In
preparation for the upcoming Indie Shop on May 13th in
Torrance California, I've interviewed all the vendors that will be
there. I will be posting interviews so that
you can get to know each and every one of the faces behind the
brands.
Now.... TO THE INTERVIEW!!!
Today I present to you Moon Shine Mani!
What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Phoebe Moon and I'm from Tracy, California.
When did you start Moon Shine Mani?
I launched Moon Shine Mani for Christmas last year.
What is meaning behind Moon Shine Mani and how did you come up with your brand name?
Well the name is a play on words. I wanted to include my name in my
brand because hey, my married name is pretty fun, and manicures are shiny so
it made sense to me.
What do you love about what you do?
I love every aspect of it. I've always loved nail polish and
wearing/swatching/reviewing it which is why I started my YouTube channel
in the first place. But soon after meeting so many beguiling indie
polishes and their makers I became so intrigued with the creative
process and wanted to try it for myself. I love the magic that happens
during the mixing. I love shopping for new components. I love sending
polishes around the world, anticipating the happiness they'll bring
polish-lovers like me. And I love being my own boss!
What are your favorite finishes or colors to work with?
I love holos, creams and shimmers and any shade of purple, green, and blue.
Will
this be your first event like Indie Shop and if not what do you like
about doing events like this?
Yes, this is my first time vending at a polish convention. I came last
November to the Indie Shop to buy lovelies and scope out the scene and
loved it!
How long does it take to prepare for events like Indie Shop?
I'm learning it takes a lot longer than I gave myself time for but now I know for next time.
The event theme is Candy Shop, what's your favorite candy? Will you have any candy themed products?
I have such a sweet tooth. I love any kind of gummy, licorice,
chocolate, and my favorite candy of them all is a Big Hunk, anyone else?
Both our event exclusive polish and VIP exclusive are candy themed.
What will you be bringing to Indie Shop and will you be offering an event exclusive for attendees?
I'm bringing polishes from each of the five collections we've launched
since Christmas. In addition to that I'm bringing our event exclusive
black linear holo called Licorice Whip. I'm also bringing our June trio
for any early exclusive launch.
