Are you excited? I know I am.
In
preparation for the upcoming Indie Shop this Saturday, May 13th in
Torrance California, I interviewed all the vendors that will be
there. These interviews are a chance for you to get to know each and every one of the faces behind the
brands.
Now.... TO THE INTERVIEW!!!
I present to you Lavish Polish
What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Emely and I'm from Anaheim, California.
When did you start Lavish Polish?
I started Lavish Polish on December 15, 2012.
What is meaning behind Lavish Polish and how did you come up with your brand name?
Well I wanted it to be something cute, fancy and girly I made a list of
words and as soon as I got to Lavish I fell in love with it and went
with it.
What do you love about what you do?
Everything!! I love the creative process of being inspired by different
things, places, clothes, just about anything. I also love seeing people
wearing my polish it makes me proud!!
What are your favorite finishes or colors to work with?
I like jelly polishes the dimensions you get are just amazing!! I also love holo but who doesn't!!
Wihat do you like
about doing events like this?
I like doing these events because I get to interact with customers in
person!! I like the rush of it all. Plus I like hanging out with the
other makers.
How long does it take to prepare for events like Indie Shop?
For me almost 2 weeks I fit in mixing after work. But I try to keep to 1
week if possible. The planning of exclusives and VIP polishes takes me a
couple of months.
The event theme is Candy Shop, what's your favorite candy? Will you have any candy themed products?
My favorite candy is Jolly Ranchers. I will have two polishes that will be candy themed.
What will you be bringing to Indie Shop and will you be offering an event exclusive for attendees?
I will be bringing my Spring '17 Collection, Squad Goals (releasing
5/19/17) I will also have Sweet Yummy Gummy - Event Exclusive, Candy is
Dandy - Limited Edition (putting this in the VIP bag) I will also have
some random polishes from my shop.
