Hello Loves!!
It's been a little bit hectic here at Casa de Polished Beautifully because of work and all the interviews I've been doing with the vendors from the upcoming Indie Shop which is THIS SATURDAY, July 29th!! I'm going to be getting to normal posts after this weekend so thank you for hanging in there with me.
Today I have an absolutely gorgeous collection from Envy Lacquer to share with you that will be launching at Indie Shop on Saturday and will then launch online Wednesday, August 2nd.
As you can see this collection has a little bit of everything so there is something for everyone. So no matter if you like cremes, holo, shimmer, or flakies there is something here for you.
With this collection I have started doing something new that I hadn't done before when swatching. I now use a peelable base coat under all of my polishes no matter if I'm swatching or wearing a day to day mani.
Let's get to the swatches!!
Let's get to the swatches!!
Don't Be A Seawitch
This polish has a violet base, is packed full of green to purple shifting glass fleckes and holo, and is inspired by Ursula from the Little Mermaid.
This polish has a violet base, is packed full of green to purple shifting glass fleckes and holo, and is inspired by Ursula from the Little Mermaid.
Abalone Crown
This polish has a cruelly like base filled with a touch of holo, lots of different color changing glass flecks, purple to green shimmer, and is inspired by the abalone shell.
This polish is really pretty. I show it here in three thin coats. I love that it looks like just a regular white cruelly but when the sun hits it, BAM! all the goodies come out. This polish was a little bit difficult to work with since it was a bit thick. I normally have all my fans going since it's hot where I live so I thought that played a part. Melody has said that she worked on the base so that application is smoother.
Sunset Sands
This polish has a rosy micro flake base and has flakes that give it a red flash, color changing glitters, and was inspired by watching the sunset while on a warm sandy beach.
This polish was really easy to work with, and the formula and application was smooth. I show it here in three thin coats. It was a tad bit on the sheer side but I do believe that I may have done too thin of a coat when applying it. I did wear this polish again after I took my original pictures and I felt that two thin coats and a thicker last coat offered better coverage.
Make Waves
This polish is a glitter polish full of holo flakies, regular flakies, all types of glitter, and it is inspired by the night sky reflecting off the ocean.
This polish is beautiful and looks even better in the sun. I show it here in three thin coats. When in the sun all the flakies come out and boy is it stunning. This polish was easy to work with but due to this being a glitter heavy polish I do recommend a thicker top coat application so that you get no textured finish. I personal like a little bit of texture so I show it here with a regular coat of top coat.
Seafoamin' Around
This polish has a pale mint colored base and is full of shimmers, glitters, micro flakies and is inspired by the sun hitting tropical waters and Melody's favorite color, mint.
This is another one of my favorites in this collection. I will admit that when I saw it in the bottle I did not not think I would like this color but it proved me wrong. I show it here in three thin coats. This polish went on beautifully and I love the depth that all the goodies give this polish. It looks stunning inside or outside. The flakies are to die for, specially when caught in the sun.
Mermaid Hair Don't Care
This polish is a red creme base packed full of gold shimmer, and is inspired by the Little Mermaid.
Coming in as another top favorite of this collection. I show it here in three thin coats. It was really hard to capture the shimmer in this polish but I promise you that it's there. The formula was like butter on this polish and it was so easy to work with. A good red polish is always a must in everyone collection.
